| GM TDH 4512 were 35' coaches delivered to Miami Transit Company in 1954. They were numbered 547-571 |
| The MTA 600 series were delivered to Miami Transit Company in 1954 (600-653) and in 1956 (654-679). They had an interesting run here. Some 600s were sold to Coral Gables Municipal Bus Lines, which re-painted (royal blue) and re-numbered them. When the MTA took over the Coral Gables system they were pressed into service in Coral Gables livery, but MTA re-numbered them back to their original fleet numbers. Some of the 600s were sold to CoTran in Palm Beach county. They put in service using the MTA livery and original MTA fleet numbers. MTA didn't retire the 600 series until 1977. Even after the AMGenerals took over the 600 designation. CoTran retired theirs in 1979. Bus 647 is preserved by MDT as a historic coach. |
